Jason Preker

Born and raised in Chicago, Jason Preker is a leading airbrush artist and custom painter.  He grew up surrounded by the arts, his father a painter and photographer, his mother in the theater. The family scuba diving business took him countless times to Mexico, where he became fascinated with Day of the Dead and other macabre art.

In 2004, Jason created Voodoo Paint Airbrush which offers custom painting and
airbrush art on almost any surface...motorcycles, cars, boats, jet skis, and helmets,
as well as fine art on canvas, illustration board and T-shirts. Since then he has earned
“Painter Certification” from Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint and The Planet Color
Paint System. Jason has taken classes with industry leaders in automotive and airbrush
art including: Craig Fraser, Steve Driscoll, Pamela Shanteau, The “Wizard”, Jason Doll,
and Bob Soroka.

Jason’s work has been seen at Navy Pier, Lake Forest College, World of Wheels, on DJs headphones and computers, on guitars and even the wrestling shorts of professional wrestlers. He has created custom game controllers for “The Controller Shop.com.”, and designed and painted T-shirts for The Diesel Cologne kick-off. Jason was the Chicago winner of the Dodge Mopar hood painting contest at the 2011 Latin Music Festival. As a member of the Chicago Brushmasters, he painted an “alcohol-fueled funny car” and several automotive themed panels for the 2011 and 2012 charity art auction which raised over $120,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Expected upcoming airbrush projects include: Sport Bike for Fusion Custom Cycles and
Laptop painting for Lollapalooza 2012.
